Seth Greenberg Fired

The Virginia Tech Hokies have decided to fire basketball coach Seth Greenberg. This comes as a complete shock to me and I am sure many other ACC Basketball fans. Greenberg has been consistently good as a coach at Tech and has made a weak basketball program a decent ACC program. For three straight years Virginia Tech had a great case to get into the tournament, falling just short each time. He did make an NCAA tournament and finished with a solid record. Greenberg went 167-117 at VT. It will be interesting to see who the Hokies hire, because I find it highly unlikely that that person will be a better coach than Seth Greenberg.

Greenberg will land on his feet. This was his third job and he has had winning records at the previous two. He has served as the chair of allcoachescare.com and helped to rebuild the gulf coast in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Seth Greenberg is a good man.
