The Orioles extended their AL East lead tonight. They did it behind amazing pitching. Wei Yin Chen had an awesome start to beat the White Sox and his bullpen did a terrific job in preserving the victory. Jim Johnson was able to pick up his 5th save in the madness. Johnson had his worst outing of the year and nearly blew it, but he ended up saving the victory. I'll take this over paying 6 million to garbage relievers any day. Jim Johnson is about as good as it gets. Johnson was not the only Oriole tearing it up though as Nolan Reimold hit his 4th home run of the year and the Orioles increased their league lead in home runs. Keep the bombs and the great pitching coming gentlemen.
