Duncan Still Has It

I will not act for a second like Tim Duncan is not my favorite basketball player. He is unselfish, doesn't seek out attention, and is a winner on and off the court. The man just wins. He is perhaps the best winner in any sport of the last decade. Duncan has won 4 NBA Titles as the main guy on each team. They have made the playoffs in each of his seasons with the exception of the 2000 season. So seeing him not make the all-star team this year was definitely a change. Much different than his 2 MVP seasons (he should have won more).

However, lately Duncan seems to be reborn. The Spurs went on a huge win streak and then last night happened. Last night Tim Duncan scored 28 points and had 12 rebounds. The Spurs are younger and more athletic around him. Could they get Timmy his fifth ring this season. It sure would be fun to see and I for one will be rooting for it. This is definitely the best supporting cast he has had outside of his championship years. Tim Duncan can no longer do it like he did it 5 years ago, but he can still bring it and the West better be ready.
