So, You Say the SEC Is The Best Still Eh?

Let's debunk the SEC lies here one at a time.

Lie #1 The SEC plays the best week in and week out all year long
That is why the SEC scheduled 7 games against FCS opponents in week 13 right? I am fine with scheduling a tuneup game in week 1, but week 13. 7 games against FCS opponents are you kidding me? Alabama has to be the gold standard of scheduling by playing in Week 13 1-10 Western Carolina. Weren't Alabama fans trashing FSU for playing Savannah State early on. Seems to be a bit of hypocrisy here.
Lie # 2: FSU played 2 FCS teams, SEC teams would never do that.
Oh, really.
Mississippi State played 2 FCS teams.
So did Texas A & M and Vandy.
The difference is that FSU had WVU scheduled, WVU backed out and FSU had to scramble at the last minute.

Lie #3: Take a good team from a normal conference and they don't go .500 in the SEC.
More like take a mediocre team (Texas A & M) from a power conference (Big 12) and they will go 5-2 and knock off the top SEC team. Oh and they will do it at that home team's stadium.

Lie # 4: We dominate the power conferences.
Not really. The least of the power conferences the Big East is 3-0 against the SEC. That includes a Week 13 victory by Syracuse over Missouri which made Syracuse bowl eligible.
Also the only ranked nonconference win the conference has is Alabama over Michigan. Haven't we already been over the fact that Michigan wasn't near as good as they were supposed to be.

Lie # 5: We dominate our nonconference schedule still against good teams.
Well Louisiana Monroe upsetting one team from your conference and taking another to overtime says otherwise. So does Louisiana Lafayette taking Florida to the brink.

Lie # 6: We play the best still.
No you don't as I said earlier.
In fact the only ranked nonconference teams they have played so far are Michigan and Clemson. The conference is 1-1 in those games. Say they lose to the two they play this week FSU and Clemson, that would put the conference at 0-2 against Clemson and 1-3 against nonconference ranked opponents.
Contrast that to say Miami's schedule who played Notre Dame and Kansas State on the road and there is absolutely no comparison.

Lie # 7: Overall our schedule is tougher than Notre Dame
False. Look at Notre Dame's entire body of work. Again, there is no comparison. Notre Dame put up against many ranked teams. So did Kansas State, so did Oregon. These SEC teams beat up on each other, but other than Bama's win over Michigan have not proved it out of conference.

The Alabama fan reaction to this news, "you think I care, ROLL DAMN TIDE."
And that ladies and gentlemen is exactly why the rest of the country hates the SEC.
