The legendary Bobby Bowden recently said that ex coaches should make up the committee selecting the playoff games. Although it may be a completely different system than the BCS, we do know it will have 4 teams involved. The committee that Bowden and several others have proposed would be similar to the one used for college basketball. Bobby Bowden has offered to serve on said committee. He joins other coaches who have expressed interest in serving on this committee. RC Slocumb, John Cooper, Phil Fulmer, and Lavell Edwards have all expressed interest in the process.
"No person is better equipped to handle the pressure that would go with being on that committee than an ex-coach," former Texas A&M coach R.C. Slocum told ESPN.com. "We've seen a lot more pressure than being on a poll."
Mack Brown said in a recent interview that he supported ex-coaches being on the selection committee. I think that is the ideal scenario for everyone. We will see what happens.
